Privacy Policy

Your financial content stays local. Cascade does not connect to banks and does not upload payment amounts, balances, currencies, source labels, destination names, rules, notes, or backup contents.

Information stored on your device

Cascade stores your income rule sets, destinations, payment entries, allocation plans, checklist completion, payment presets, and settings locally using Apple’s on-device storage. You can delete this information from Cascade’s Settings.

Analytics and diagnostics

Cascade uses Firebase Analytics to understand broad product usage and Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes. Cascade sends only a small set of predefined event names without custom financial parameters. Firebase may process app-instance and device identifiers, app and session activity, device and operating-system information, approximate geography, crash stack traces, and diagnostics. Cascade does not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking and does not link it to an account or user profile.

Authentication and privacy controls

If you enable app lock, Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework confirms device-owner authentication. Cascade does not receive, read, or store biometric data. The app-switcher privacy cover hides financial content when Cascade is inactive.

Exports and backups

JSON export is initiated by you. Cascade creates a temporary local file and shows Apple’s system share sheet. The export may contain your financial content, so you control where it is sent and stored. Cascade does not upload the export.

Reminders

Checklist reminders are scheduled locally through Apple’s notification system. Their visible text is generic and contains no amount or user-authored financial label.

Purchases

Cascade Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Cascade receives only the verified entitlement needed to unlock Pro and does not receive payment-card details.

Advertising, tracking, and children

Cascade contains no advertising SDK, does not access the advertising identifier, does not sell personal information, and does not track people across apps or websites. Cascade is a general-purpose financial planning utility and is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

If Cascade’s data practices materially change, this page will be updated before those changes are introduced in the app.
